Image Quality
Most images on this website are based on
hi-resolution master scans of the original transparencies.
Such 5400dpi master scans produce images of approximately 35-megapixels, archived as some 200 Mb uncompressed 16bit/channel TIFF
files. Remaining images are hi-resolution digital
files, based on RAW capture.
The sample images below on the left, as
all other images on
the Phototramp, are greatly reduced in size (downsampled) to allow efficient
viewing in
web browsers. The details shown on the right
represents the actual resolution of prints and images offered
for sale and licencing.
